Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to reshape the nose and improve both its appearance and function. Whether your goals include reducing a dorsal hump, narrowing the nasal bridge, refining the nasal tip, or adjusting the width of the nostrils, rhinoplasty offers precise, customized results to enhance facial harmony.
Performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient surgery at our facility, rhinoplasty also involves a careful evaluation of nasal airflow. Many patients benefit from a concurrent septoplasty—a procedure that corrects a deviated nasal septum—to improve breathing alongside the cosmetic reshaping of the nose.
During your initial consultation, we review your medical history and conduct a thorough physical examination. If needed, radiographic imaging is performed on-site to assist in surgical planning. After surgery, patients typically wear a protective nasal splint for about one week. While swelling is expected at the time of splint removal, it will gradually improve over several weeks to months. Postoperative discomfort is usually minimal, though nasal congestion is common during the early recovery period.
Your surgeon will provide detailed, personalized postoperative instructions to ensure optimal healing and results. When performed on carefully selected patients, rhinoplasty can offer lasting improvements in both the appearance and function of the nose, significantly enhancing self-confidence and quality of life.
